Hickory Ridge News President Requests Increased Participation from Residents
By Rudy Serio
Hickory Ridge Civic Association President
As an update from the past quarter, the officers and security patrol would like to thank those residents that have abided by the new and changed regulations. Violating the rules by anyone of us reflects on the subdivision as a whole. We are all involved and encourage everyone to adhere to all rules. Violations only serve to reduce the attractiveness and desirability of our area.
Also, it is very discouraging to have a meeting of all residents every two months (meetings are held during even numbered months on the 2nd Tuesday of the month) and have officers outnumber in attendance the 527 residents that are living in the subdivision. Let’s get involved! At this time, less than half the residents pay dues and pay the security patrol fees. Why not ask a neighbor to attend the next regular meeting with you on Oct. 9 at the library?
Note that Shenandoah is about to do away with their security patrol, or at least cut it back due to the lack of participation on part of their current residents.
Please realize that Hickory Ridge Boulevard is the main throughway between Coursey Boulevard and Tiger Bend Road. Any and all suggestions for keeping the boulevard from becoming the next Indianapolis speedway are appreciated.
Again, become involved and help where you can. Everyone is asked for their cooperation in keeping our traffic, properties and streets in compliance with the local ordinances and laws of our area. The officers, board and security patrol ask for your cooperation.
