Baton Rouge University Resident Celebrates Wonderous Life
These two photos cover over three decades in the history of University Acres subdivision. The top photo was taken in 1973 and from left are Murray Hawkins, Ed Sale, Julia Hawkins, Leslie Glasgow and Joe Campbell. The bottom photo features a group of University Acres residents participating in their neighborhood beautification project. From left are Mr. & Mrs. Hans Van Beek, Joe Delatte, Bob Dillemerth, Wanda Huh and Tommy Campbell. The residents would also like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Mag Wall for all of her help.

These pictures were sent by
93-year-old Julia Hawkins, who just completed writing her life story titled
"It's Been Wondrous!" She chronicles her childhood in Louisiana, life at LSU in
the late '30s and double gold cycling medals in the National Senior Olympics at
the end of the century.
