Inner Wheel
20th Sale Set for Early March of ‘09
Inner Wheel’s Annual Collection
Of Trash and Treasure Has Started
The annual collection of items to be sold in March of 2009 at the Inner Wheel Trash and Treasure Sale has begun.
The organization’s 20th annual gathering of cast off items will continue until the sale begins on a yet-to-be-announced date in early March of next year at a location that is also not known at this time.
Founded in 1929, the International Inner Wheel Club was chartered locally in 1990. Its members are spouses of members of the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge. This year the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will benefit from the Inner Wheel’s 2009 Trash and Treasure Sale of collected and reconditioned household goods, appliances, gently used clothing, etc.
Starting on Second Million
This year Inner Wheel will begin raising its 2nd million dollars. In addition to donating funds to local charities, Inner Wheel actually provides a service to the community by recycling unwanted goods. The organization serves as a conduit that helps move items from one family which no longer wants them to another family that needs them.
The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, Salvation Army and the Rotary Scholarship Foundation will each receive a share of the funds raised at the 2009 Trash and Treasure Sale. Inner Wheel is now accepting monetary donations as well as donated items for the sale. All donations are tax deductible.
