Hickory Ridge Reminders
By Louise Strong, Treasurer
Just a reminder that your dues for the 2009 Hickory Ridge Civic Association are due. We hope that everyone within our subdivision will become more active in our Association and part of that is paying your annual dues. Your dues are allocated mainly toward our security patrol and we are pleased to see that the crime rate in our subdivision is minimal, due in large part to these patrols.
The balance of the dues is used for Association expenses which include various projects such as beautification of the median along the mile-long Hickory Ridge Boulevard, water/sewer fees for the watering system installed on the boulevard, Association membership fees in the Federation of Homeowners’ Associations as well as Jones Creek Business Association, etc.
We encourage attendance and participation at our bi-monthly meetings and welcome suggestions to continue to make our subdivision an outstanding community in which to live and raise our children. Your input can only be considered if you make it known.
The HRCA is planning a Spring gala to be held in conjunction with the annual Easter Egg Hunt and we certainly hope that all subdivision residents will attend and visit with their Hickory Ridge neighbors. Please watch for notices on the Boulevard for place, date and time. It’s sure to be fun for everyone so plan on being there. You don’t want to miss any chance for a good time with good food, good friends and good fun!
We hope that everyone is familiar with the Hickory Ridge subdivision restrictions and continue to be guided by them. If you are unsure of those restrictions and can’t locate your copy, please contact any officer and we’ll attempt to get you a copy as soon as possible.
An issue of particular concern is the illegal parking of vehicles, both on our streets and on the neutral grounds of the Boulevard and your properties. The East Baton Rouge City Ordinances specifically set out the parking laws and they are being strictly enforced, as some of you have already learned. To avoid further warnings or tickets, we strongly suggest that you follow these laws.
