East Baton Rouge Master Gardener Association Mother’s Day Weekend Plant Sale
East Baton Rouge Master Gardener Association Offers Gifts for Mom That Keep On Growing
By Judy Weaver
The annual Mother’s Day Weekend Plant Sale on Saturday May 10 at the LSU Burden Center is the perfect place to find a special gift…maybe a hanging basket or dish garden to show your love. Our plants are thoroughly labeled, robustly healthy, ready to please and no assembly required!
There will be hundreds of varieties of plants for your garden, grown by East Baton Rouge Master Gardener volunteers at the LSU Burden Center. They will help you choose the right plant for your location and also provide value-added care information on plants you select.
There will also be a plant health clinic if you need some help with a plant diagnosis. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions.
We will have a special place to give your child a hands-on gardening opportunity to create something special for Mom for a modest charge.
The proceeds from this plant sale are used by the LSU Burden Center and the East Baton Rouge Master Gardener Association to fund many community-wide activities such as educational presentations, plant health clinics, school gardens, establishing home gardens for Habitat for Humanity and the kitchen demonstration garden at BREC’s Magnolia Mound Plantation.
