Baton Rouge Area Credit Unions Host Charity Golf Tournament
Campus Federal, Pelican State and Neighbors Federal Credit Unions will host their 6th annual Credit Union Charity Golf Tournament on March 16. The event will be held at Pelican Point Golf Course in Gonzales.
Since the annual tournament began five years ago, over $60,000 has been raised for Habitat for Humanity Greater Baton Rouge.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian-based organization that seeks to eliminate poverty and homelessness around the world by building new homes for families that could not do so otherwise.
Habitat for Humanity has built over 300,000 homes internationally since 1976, but rely mainly on volunteer labor and donations. All Credit Union Charity Golf Tournament proceeds will go toward Habitat for Humanity Greater Baton Rouge.
Participants will receive lunch, golf cart, green fees, gift bags, prizes, an awards reception and dinner. The credit unions are seeking both participants and sponsors who wish to have fun and network with local businesses and individuals.
