The Pennington Balloon Championship is back again August 7-9 !

The family event that brings together hot air balloon pilots from across the nation promises to deliver as much fun as previous years – and then some! In addition to traditional balloon races , balloon glows and night jumping, live music will be added to the mix. Another crowd favorite includes the Black Daggers army parachute team that will perform at 6 and 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Event coordinator George Richard said this is the best way for Baton Rouge residents to experience free family fun while raising money for Pennington Biomedical Research Center . “Balloon pilots from all over the country love it as much as the guests because they love our hospitality – and our good food!” The event kicks off at 6:30 a.m. on Friday August 7.
