Living Nativity Pageant in Central

By John Perry, Director of Music Ministries
United Magnolia's Christmas Pageant

The first annual Living Nativity Pageant will be held at Magnolia United Methodist Church on Dec. 13, 14, 20, & 21, with performances each of the four nights at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 16024 Greenwell Springs Rd.

The 20-minute outdoor program will feature a cast of more than 20 costumed actors, who will navigate among the four scenes to demonstrate the part of the first Christmas story that the narrator is telling. The biblical accounts of that first Christmas are found in the books of St. Matthew and St. Luke.

A variety of music styles will be used to set the mood of the particular event being described. Some animals will also be used in the productions. The sets, lighting, sound, and costumes are designed and built by members of the church.

Of course, admission to the outdoor “theater” is free, and no offering will be taken. Church members will direct parking.
