Trash and Treasure
Driver Lester Coates backed the big Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank truck into Mary Legendre's driveway on Pippin Lane in Magnolia Bend Subdivision one day last month and picked up a load of used household items for Downtown Rotary's Trash and Treasure Sale. Helping load is Cathy Landry of Downtown Rotary's Inner Wheel at right. Inner Wheel holds their sale each year to raise funds for local charities. This year a portion of the proceeds will go to the Food Bank. The sale will be held a the old Mervin's Store in Cortana Mall on March 6 - 8, 2009.
