Celebrating Christmas in Central

Blackwater United Methodist Church
10000 Blackwater Rd

Dec. 6 & 7, 7:30 p.m.

The “Journey to Bethlehem” will guide you through 10 scenes depicting the Biblical narrative of the Christmas story using the warm glow of candle-lit luminaries. Costumed characters silently bring each scene to life as you go back in time, from Gabriel’s visit to Mary, to shepherds watching their flocks, to the nativity itself. The drama unfolds, inviting you to remember and re-connect with the miracle of the birth of Jesus so long ago.

Dec. 21, 6 p.m.
Holidays can be difficult for those who have lost family and friends during the year. To assist in the healing process, a “Longest Night” or “Blue Christmas” worship service will be a source of comfort if you are working through the issues of grief and loss. If you, or someone you know, have experienced a loss of any kind during this past year, this service may be a valuable time of healing.

Dec. 24, 6:30 p.m.
Christmas Eve services are among the most beloved and meaningful worship experiences of the year. We will offer a Christmas Eve “Candlelight and Communion” service that will add significance to your celebration of the birth of Jesus.
